Blogs are an important part of marketing your story.  Your blog is your story and helps to present the depth of who you are for the world to see.

Directories are not the best answer.  They tend to be crowded and not very effective.  I’m not discouraging you from listing your site, but don’t make it a priority.  More people will find your blog through search engines.  Thus, making tagging your posts all the more important.

One of the best methods to encourage people to visit your site is to comment on other blogs and forums.  Don’t hold back, express yourself with insight and whitty comments.  Average comments will not stand out in the crowd, boring will be overlooked and useless information will not encourage people click on your link.

Always make it easy for people to find you.  Place your blog url address just below your name and don’t for get to add the http://  so it will active a direct link.

The ultimate answer is givers gain. The more involved you are in the community, the more valuable advice and creative insight you share the more people will want to read more about what you have to say.

I  happen to look, this morning, at our podcasts archive to count how many posted we have to date.

When I opened the archive I noticed our first podcast was
uploaded March 24, 2007.  One year ago today! I’ve posted
that podcast below for nostalgia.

We have 109 podcasts including the 28 Kick-start program guides. But, I don’t count the guides as regular prosperous artist shows. I do have a number of morning Kick-start programs that are really my solo podcasts.

So, subtract 28 from 109 and we have 81. A very powerful number. We will update and attach the archive again.

Both Dean and I would like to thank all of our readers and listeners. You mean a lot to us and we are looking forward to a very prosperous year 2.

I listen to a number of podcast. Mostly on the topics of marketing, photography and new media. One excellent podcast and blog is “Six Pixels of Separation” Hosted by Mitch Joel.

If you read my blogs or listen to our podcasts you know I’m a fan of Seth Godin. Joel also references Seth. Another great resource often promoted by Seth and recently mentioned on Six Pixels is “Presentation Zen”, by Garr Reynolds. If you speak or give presentations - his work, blog and book are a must read.

Well, good or bad I got up the nerve to call Mitch Joels comment line
