My Ultimate day
Friday, June 6th, 2008I get up with my loving family each morning and have breakfast. After, I take a commute down the stairs to my office and check my schedule. I have at least one assignment most everyday. If not, I’ll write, process images or work on marketing my business.
When I am working I’m highly productive. But, I take time throughout the day to visit with my family. I’ll play in the yard with my daughter, tend to my vegetable garden, talk with my wife or visit with friends. My schedule is mine and created by my actions.
I love what I do everyday and my growing business pays me well.
I’ve spent years working to create this scenario. It didn’t happen over night. I certainly have desired additions to my ultimate day. After my stepdaughter is out of school (in four years) I expect to be looking at mountains out my back door.
I plan on being more selective about the assignments I accept as my investments pay for my life style. My personal and business debt will ultimately be zero.
I spend time focusing on creating well-rounded days. These days include work, family, health and play. In the end, after building years of enjoyable and balanced days I will have created my desired well-rounded life.
I like to keep my life simple and I think what I’ve created is wonderful. But, my perfect day is not yours. So, again today, I encourage you to pick and work on an element that would contribute to your ideal day. Some elements may take time to achieve, such as the mountains out my window, but there is always something you can do now.
Keep dreaming. Keep the focus. Take actions that will help your tomorrows, but don’t worry about the next day. Let go of the undesired past.
